Dito Telecommunity Corp., the third telco player in the country, is set to officially launch its services in the National Capital Region on May 17.

After over two months since it launched its network commercially, the newbie telco player is finally bringing its services to the NCR and some parts of Metro Manila.

The telco player earlier expanded its services across the Philippines and is currently available in the following 54 areas:

The Philippines’ new major telco player is mandated to deliver its commitments of 37.03% national population coverage with a minimum average broadband speed of 27 megabits per second (Mbps) in its first year of operation. It is now aiming to achieve a 30% market share as soon as possible.

Dito’s NCR launch and its plans to expand to nationwide availability by June are in line with its mission to offer Filipinos access to better, faster, and more reliable data services and internet connections.

The newbie company broke the duopoly of PLDT and Globe Telecom after it entered the telco market as a third major player.
