On Monday, Foodpanda announced that it will be allotting P3.5 million for cash incentives and raffle prizes to encourage more of its delivery drivers to get vaccinated.

The online food delivery service said it has prepared monetary and non-monetary incentives for drivers who will be completing their COVID-19 vaccines.

The firm also disclosed its partnership with the Department of Health (DOH) for its COVID-19 vaccine awareness drive dubbed as the "It's Worth the Shot" campaign, which aims to educate employees, partner riders, merchants, and customers through printed and digital materials produced by the health department.

Meanwhile, Grab Philippines teamed up with the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) to encourage more transport stakeholders to complete their vaccines against COVID-19.

Under the "Vacced ka na ba?" campaign of Grab Philippines, fully vaccinated individuals will get promo vouchers by simply submit a copy of their vaccination cards to the ride-hailing company. Participants will also have a chance to win P250,000 in their GrabPay accounts.

Grab Philippines’ “Vacc to Normal" campaign, on the other hand, is dedicated to boosting the vaccine confidence of its drivers and delivery-partners with raffle prizes, rewards, COVID-vaccination insurance, among others.

Delivery riders are considered economic frontliners and are included in the A4 priority group.

The company also announced that it will be offering discounted rides to users heading to and from some vaccination sites through the GrabCar Bayanihan, a dedicated fleet of vaccinated driver-partners.

The initiative will be extended to provide safe and reliable mobility solutions to all transport stakeholders who intend to get their jabs at the DoTr's vaccination hub at the Parañaque Integrated Terminal Exchange (PITX).

Grab Philippines will continue conducting surveys across its stakeholders and regularly share relevant data and insights with the two government agencies to help them tailor policy and regulatory approaches on the transportation sector, particularly with regards to vaccination policies.

The three entities are still studying different ways to launch several mobile vaccination hubs with DOH-accredited medical personnel who will administer the vaccine doses within and outside of Metro Manila.
