Taking the time to read will help you grow in tremendous ways, and making a list and setting deadlines will help you stay committed to reading!

Choose one of these life-changing books, and prepare to start your journey this 2022, whatever it is.

1. Atomic Habits: An Easy & Proven Way to Build Good Habits & Break Bad Ones by James Clear

No matter your 2021 resolutions, "Atomic Habits" offers a proven framework for changing your life by forming good habits, breaking bad ones, and mastering small behaviors that lead to massive transformation.

Learn how to overcome a lack of motivation or willpower, get back on track when you fall off course, and design your schedule for success.

READ IF: Your New Year's resolutions typically don't last past January

2. Ikigai: The Japanese Secret to a Long and Happy Life by Francesc Miralles and Hector Garcia

In Japanese, ikigai is written by combining the symbols that mean “life” with “to be worthwhile.”

Our ikigai is different for all of us, but one thing we have in common is that we are all searching for meaning. When we spend our days feeling connected to what is meaningful to us, we live more fully; when we lose the connection, we feel despair.

• What you love

• What you are good at

• What the world needs

• What you can be paid for

READ IF: You want to find your life’s purpose, live a longer and happier life

    3. The Miracle Morning by Hal Elrod

The “Miracle Morning” is simply about waking up an hour earlier and devoting that time to developing yourself.

Without an effective morning routine, you are betting on your life instead of taking control of it and focusing on things that matter.

READ IF: Your New Year's resolution is to be more grateful and motivated, and to start your day off with maximum productivity by giving yourself the time, space, and routine to focus on your goals and attitude

    4. Becoming by Michelle Obama

"Becoming" is the inspirational memoir you've been looking for to motivate you to chase your dreams.

It will teach you hard work and the journey to success. This book is eye-opening and inspiring.

READ IF: You want to focus on New Year's resolutions, but self-help books aren't typically your thing, and if you want to be inspired and motivated, a glimpse into how much work it takes to become successful and all the struggles along the way

    5. Career Shift: Follow Your Passion by Penny Sicangco Bongato

If you’re struggling, burnt out, and ready for a career shift or a change in your life, then this is a MUST read. Find the courage to acknowledge and surrender your fears so you can finally make things happen in your life.

READ IF: Your New Year's resolution is to move towards your dreams and live a life with purpose and be happy

Choose Your Books to Help You Grow

Okay, now here’s your homework to complete. First, make a commitment to read a book for at least 30 minutes a day. An hour is better.

Then, make a list of books you intend to commit to reading this year. Not just any book! And not a huge goal like reading 50 books this year.

You may pick some from the ones I’ve mentioned today and any other books that will help you grow and attain the life you want.

Reading a book is a great resolution to consider because it can provide tips and techniques to motivate you and get you started to achieve your other personal resolutions.

Remember, nothing will change for the better until you do.
