Great Place to Work has recently identified the Best Workplaces in Asia. Two Philippine companies top the list in two categories, with seven more Philippine-based companies completing the 2021 roster.

According to the Great Place to Work Philippines' list released July 20, 2021, Canva Philippines—the graphic design and collaboration platform also known as the tech unicorn co-founded by Melanie Perkins, Cliff Obrecht and Cameron Adams—bested other companies in the Best 100 Small and Medium Business (SMB). Meanwhile, DHL Express, a division of the German logistics company Deutsche Post DHL Group that has offices in Greater China, India, Japan, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, and the U.A.E., secured the top spot of the Best 30 Multinational Companies (MNC) in Asia.

Another Philippine company that made it to the list is Western Union Services Philippines Inc., which placed seventh in the Best 70 Large category.

Meanwhile, the rest of the Philippine-based companies included in Great Place to Work's Best 30 Multinational Companies category are Ericsson Telecommunications at the 7th place; American Express International at the 9th place; Synchrony Global Service at the 13th place; Paypal Philippines at the 16th place; SAS Institute at the 22nd place; and S&P Global Philippines at the 25th place.

For this year's list, Great Place to Work surveyed over half a million employees across Asia and the Middle East about the key factors that create great workplaces for all. To be considered, companies must first be identified as outstanding in their local region by appearing on one or more of the Great Place to Work's Best Workplaces lists in Greater China (including China, Hong Kong, and Taiwan), India, Japan, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka or UAE during 2020 or early 2021.

Meanwhile, as of writing, Great Place to Work  Philippines has posted an announcement calling every Philippine-based company of all sizes and industries eager to be part of next year's Philippines Best Workplaces to register to be able to make it to the roster. According to the post, the registration period ends on October 31, 2021.
